thanks for all the replies guys, sarcastic or not......

i know everyone prides themselves on their personal car.....i'm the same way in the Lexus forums as well......

but i do like the idea that of spending a couple of G's on an older Fox body and that would leave me with more money for mods ie....CRATE Motor!!....

but i'm getting from reading around that a good year to go with is the '01 +, am i wrong?? i can still get those for pretty cheap as well......i don't need leather or any bells and whisles, just a good motor and chasis to work with,,,i'm also leaning towards the newer ones for that exact purpose,,,,they are newer looking...

now are the 01+ lighter than the other models???? which year model puts out the most stock HP???

thanks again guys

my vote is a 89 lx w/ a saleen body kit, 3" cowl hood, and burnt orange paint job. if you wanna see what it looks like, click on the link in my sig. lol.

i think we can all agree on the 87-93 fox bodies. you can go from there and get what style/color/etc that you want.

I'll be different and will suggest you go to your Ford dealer and order yourself a new 2005 Mustang
Then you'll be way ahead

As of now(untill the 2005 model) the 99+ stangs have the most stock HP. The GT with 260. Im guessing the fox bodys are the lightest becuase they seem to be smaller, but I could be wrong.

If you decide to go that way, buy a 4 cylander and do the v8 conversion. Most of the older v8 that nobody put subframes in, seem to be a little twisted from the torque.

Roundmanracing, I wnt to cardomain and checked out the pics of your car. It seems to have the same stance as mine with the front up a little high. What kind of mods did you do to the suspension?
