Stuck Starter

Has anyone encountered a starter that is stuck to the bellhousing ? I have removed the bolts and the starter will not break free. It is a 66 with a straight 6

Double check that you have ALL the bolts out (never had a 6, so I don't know the number). Then, use a rubber mallet and tap on the end of the starter perpendicular to the starter shaft and it should pop out.
