New electronic distributor Questions?
I have a purchased a used 1980, 302 with the stock distributor, electronic boxes(Not the blue grommet) and way to many wires. What electronic distributor do you recommend to replace this one as I install this in our '66 coupe.
If I find a duraspark with the blue grommet, do you have any wiring diagrams?
OK Now do you recommend a fully functional drop in unit (MALLORY Unilite) or one that requires an ignition module to be connected(MSD). Mallory has some that say you can if you want to attach the 6AL unit. Do they all need coil and /or ignition module. I don't want to use anything from the original 302 motor. The link below has one.

This one doesn't require an external box. It won't be as powerful as a 6AL system, but it depends on what you intend to build. Stockish engines won't need the 6AL. Bump up the compression and rpm's and you'll be happy to have a 6AL or better.
