Default WTF.....

OK here's what's happening.... Car starts and idles fine. Then when I drive down the road and hit the gas it acts like it wants to stall. It even does it just sitting still when I rev the engine. It reaches 3000 rpm the it starts running rough. I've got around 35 psi at the rails and it rises a little when i rev it up to maybe 40. I have a brand new MAF sensor on it, and a new ICM. I have checked out the TPS according to hanes and everything I read it's fine. Even though the check engine light does not come on I pulled the codes...everything checks out fine. I have replaced the plugs, stator, cap and rotor, and rechecked the timing it's at 10°. It's driving me nuts...is there another sensor I should check? Help please!!!

Default RE: WTF.....

Did the problem start right after something was changed or done to it ?

I know this is an old thread, but my 1990 5.0 is doing the exact same thing. Starts and idles fine, but as soon as you try to go over 3000rpm it stalls and dies. Had Ford dealer replace the whole alternator, I replaced the spark plugs and wires. Just today replaced the fuel pump and fuel filter figuring maybe it wasn't getting enough fuel, but nope it still does the same thing.

Has anyone else ever seen this??

Thanks.
