RE: Problem's with lowered car & headlights..
Ford already thought of that. My 03 Ford Expedition Eddie Bauer had the auto dimming rear view mirror was a great feature. I've watched cars come up behind me and the brightness of the lights stay low. As soon as the car passes, the mirror clears up again. It was great. It's one of the few things I miss about the Expedition. Now, I have the old flip tab thing.
I have thought of installing one of these in my Mustang. I've seen the auto dimming mirrors on ebay. I'm sure you can get them at the Ford dealer too. You just need a 12 vdc source. The mirror should easily replace the Mustang mirror. And with the unfinished headliner, it would be easy to run a power source along the roofline and down the pillar.

Oh, right, side mirrors. Duh! I guess I wasn't reading.
I adjust my side mirrors like this... http://www.motorists.com/issues/safe...t_mirrors.html, or http://www.smartmotorist.com/mir/mir.htm. It's not the traditional way where you can see the sides of your car. You adjust your side mirrors wide so there is just a little overlap between the view in the side mirrors and the rear view mirror. It takes a week or so to get used to the new setting, but now I love it. Once in a while, I still double check by turning my head.
With this setting, you don't get blinded by bright lights behind you. Your side mirrors don't reflect the lights of the cars behind you.
