After I'm finished doing everything I want to do to my engine I want to be putting out somewhere between 350-450 rwhp. With that being said would I benefit from a Tremec T-56 6-speed transmission (as used in the Cobras). I don't know much about transmission so therefore I don't know what benefit a 6 speed has over a 5 speed and if a V6 would even need the extra gear. Thanks for the advice guys.

6 speed will give better gas mileage...its a 4spd with 2 overdrives

NOT REALLY FOR PERFORMANCE, A T-5 WILL WORK JUST FINE FOR THAT AMOUNT OF HP

I was talking to my uncle about it and he said that extra gear will help compensate for the raised rpms from the rearend gear.

it wou help gas mileage a lot. you can have steeper gears with a 6-speed as well. my question is will it work with the v6

See thats the thing I'm not sure of. My original intentions was to swap in a cobra engine so that wasn't going to be a problem but now that I'm sticking with the 6 I might not be able to do that

when i get the blower i am going to get a g-force t-5 with dogfaced gears, it can handle up to 500 hp.
