Default Big Block 88GT Question

I have a 1988 GT with a 460 power plant. The problem I have ran into is not having enough clearance under the hood. I have a 4inch cowl but the air clear stud hits the hood. I have a Weiand stealth intake and a Holley carb.

I was wondering if any one had any suggestions on a fix. I thought about cutting a hole and putting a street scoop on but I didn't want it to look stupid.

I have some pics of the car, it is in the building stage so it is multi colored and looks pretty bad but one day it will look nice.

Is your air cleaner a drop-base? If so, you'll probably need a bit larger cowl hood.
