i know there is a forum for this already but its overrun with comments already. ive got a 83 hatch that had a 3.8 in it and still has the stock 7.5 inch rear end. Ive done some research already trying to figure out my gears and have found a problem. my door sticker code is 8 which is supposed to be 2.73s right?? but i also did the driveshaft/tire turn idea and for some reason i'm getting 1 3/4 turns of the shaft to i tire rev. its suppposed to be around twice that if i'm correct. I serioulsy doubt anyone has changed the gears in this car and i dont want to open the rear end up yet bc i'm about to go to iraq and dont want to leave it without oil and opened up. hell i'm afraid to even see what the oil looks like since i'm gueussing it has prolly never been changed. ANYONE WITH ANY IDEAS TO HELP??
