Default want to change engine

I have a 2002 3.8 V6 convertable and quite frankly love the body but hate the engine. I'm curious what "bigger" engine (s) could I put in without having to change everything, and est. of the cost. Thanks

Wit han engine swap you are gonna have to chnge pretty much everything. Definetly cheaper to just sell and go GT. lol, a carb'd 302...that would be weird in a Edge... y 302 though? If i was droppin in a new engine id go 408...

wouldn't a turbo kit for the 3.8 be a better option?

The 3.8L is a low revving POS. In my opinion, believe me Ive driven enough and replaced enough headgaskets on em to know.

And as for carbed 302 idea, how many cars do you see with a carb on em, especially newer cars. Hardly any. Not to metion it would keep the swap cost WAY down as he wouldnt need, an ECU, or programming, or any intake stuff. He could retain his stock fuel pump and get a regulator. Aside from that it would kinda be nostalgic, not to mention the kick in the seat of the pants a carb gives you that EFI can not. And get this, he would AT MOST have to run 2 vacuum lines from the motor and 1 plug. How simple.
