Default 2000 Suspension (V6)

The suspension on my 2000 Mustang V6 Convertable is a piece of crap. I've hit a few potholes and ruined my front suspension, but even before that the stock suspension has never been good - especially the front end.

I would like to replace at least the front suspension, and depending on the costs I may replace the rear.

Two questions:

1) What are some good suspension components currently available in a mid-range cost?

2) Can I replace the front only while keeping the rear stock, yet still have decent handling or will my rear end be out of whack?

You should just get some lowering springs and some adjustable shock/struts all of the way around... That should be all you need to fix your suspension problems and would make the car look better as a bonus... I would just go with some Tokico 5-way adjustable shocks and struts with Eibach Pro-Kit springs. You would be looking at less then 900 dollars... I have the combo (model and year specific of course) on my 97 cobra and can swear by it... Here are a couple of web pages from one of our sponsors to give you a better idea... they also have live help if you need it. I would just ask them if they have the parts in stock before buying, to avoid waiting...

Thanks for the info.

How far do the spring lower?

Do I need to use any caster / camber plates or any other hardware with the springs to help correct the alignment after lowering?
