Dist Cap ---> Spark Plug Issues

Dist Cap ---> Spark Plug Issues
I just did a tune up on my 87 Stang GT and it suddenly feels like its missing a cylinder. [:@]
I may have put them in the wrong order on the cap and I need assistance. Does anyone have a diagram or picture showing the Dist Cap / Wires as they need to go to the plugs on the Engine.
Stat info : 1987 Mustang GT w/ 302 EFI

RE: Dist Cap ---> Spark Plug Issues
Your best friend is a shop manual right now or look in google.
There is one way to do it...like if you were on deserted island - Mark where you have the plugs right now before you try this. It works but it is tedious.
Basically the cylinder that is on compression is the one that the rotor is just about to point to on the cap.
So with all the plugs off turn the engine by hand or clicking the starter until the cylinder that you are trying to get into firing order is pushing air out of the sprark plug hole. when the air stops flowing out of the hole that piston is at the top and ready to fire. The rotor should just about be pointing to the wire that corresponds with that cylinder.
This acatually got me out of a jam when I had a british car .
Good luck
