Default Odd sound in intake?

After a helpful response from a board member, I disconnected the negative battery terminal and let any excess power drain from my system by leaving the lights on for 3 minutes. I believe this reseted the onboard computer, and ever since then, my car doesnt seem to be running as lean after install of intake mods. The problem was that my car accelerated through the rpms slowly, and now it reaches the powerband as fast as it should with the mods i have. I know that a whistle from the CAI is common, but there seems to be a raspy noise that the engine produces from 1500 to 2300 rpms, and after that it sounds clean and smooth. What could be causing this raspy air flow sound produced under the hood and out the exhaust? Is it normal?

If their isnt no hesitation, or idling rough or powerloss well driving, I am believing with the mods have increased the travel of air flow and power created, Will make these noises normal. My 83 3.8 stang makes a turbo sound with my supercharger, Even when the rpm's are high, Now with the 40's exhaust its just more throw with mufflers.

Good Luck and enjoy.
