Do you prefer IRS or Non-IRS? And why?

RE: Do you prefer IRS or Non-IRS? And why?
My Mach has the full axle and I have no complaints. IRS might give you a smoother ride but when you are driving a muscle car like a stang, Who cares about comfort. My car doesn't ride bad enough to make me want to quit driving it. I guess it's all a personal preference.

There hasn't been a Stang that's a muscle car since the 385 series disappeared after 1971. Stangs are pony cars...we don't have V-10's under the hood. Heck, we can't even get a 5.4L (Shelby excluded).[:@]

IRS it adds a level of diversity among the mustangs, and being a direct bolt in for SN95...its a pick and choose mod...but its been said alot so far, the IRS wont hold as good down the 1/4, nothing says muscle like pickin front wheels up off the ground...something that cant really be done with an IRS
And as for a 2005+ indy...i believe a group called control freaks makes a tubluar IRS and and SLA kit for the mustang...i know its in the back of a recent Muscle Mustangs and Fast Fords mag...ill see if i cant find it but it would be completly sick around corners with that level of control...considering the s197 platform is much better overall in structural ridgitity

IRS, better ride quality. Both can be made to handle well both can be used for drag racing...only true difference is it will cost more to beef up the irs (level 5 axles are $1500 alone).
An irs cobra just broke into the 9s so don't tell me you can't use them for drag racing. I personally know two drivers that have cobras with irs running the 1/4 in 10.0 to 10.3 One is a whipple one is eaton with spray.
