My 5th gear started grinding about a month ago. So I took it into a shop, to come to find out auto adjuster was broken. So they replaced the throw bearing. Also bought adjustable clutch cable,firewall adjuster,and steeda clutch quadrant. Well 5th gear still grinds. And it only grinds from 4th gear to 5th gear ( not all the time I'd say 2 out of the 5 times). I got a short throw shifter, so Im going to check out the stop bolts and also im gonna adjust the cable. I really dont think its a syncrho because its not slammed into 5th ever. And if it was a syncrho (since its shared with reverse) reverse would grind also. Just really need some opinions. Im gonna try all the simple things first, if its none of those then I guess its time for a rebuild...
