Default Dipstick stuck!! help

My dad owns a 1997 f-150 with the 4.6l. When he went to check the oil the other day he couldnt get the dipstick out. I tried to, I mean I was giving it alot of effort but it wouldnt budge. It felt like it welded itself in there. Any ideas??

i doubt it welded itself to anything. try twisting the dipstick back and forth, make sure you are pulling it straight up and out, and not pulling it towards you. it will also hellp if you try doig it while the engine is at operating range, because the metal will slightly expand from the heat. good luck!

Does he have fun loving enemies that might try to glue the dipstick in place?

Plug / cap off your PCV valve and let the engine run... that will get your dipstick out
