I replaced the clock spring thinking that was it ,and I checked the fuses. My horn,interior lights ,and power door locks dont work .Also,when I start it ,the airbag lights blinks ,and then stays on .

What else is there ? Its a 97gt ,5speed.


p.s.-I just had the entire dash out ,replacing the heater core. There is one plug behind the glove box that is not hooked to anything .

 

Sounds like your steering column wiring harness is not all connected. Trace it trough with a wiring schematic. And give all the connectors a good push to make sure they're ALL seated. Maybe one of them just "looks" like it's fully in place.

Do your turn signals/wipers/etc all work?

 

My horn ,interior lights,tail lights,power locks dont work,and my air bag lights stays on.

I have my center console out,and those plugs are undone ,but i dont think they would affect that stuff.

 

You'd be surprised how much cross-connectivity there is in a car wiring harness. Sometimes several circuits share a common ground, disconnect that & all hell breaks loose. Reconnect all the stuff & try it out again just to confirm that ISN'T your problem

ITS FIXED !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ok,the big *** plug on the drivers side floor with the bolt in it wasn't tightened all the way ! It was plugged in tight ,but I said hey,what do I have to loose ? So I tightened down on the bolt a few times , stuck the key in the ignition ,puckered my *** cheeks ,and turned the key . The chime was goin,dome lights were on,oh it was sweet sweet music !
