3.8 to v-8 swap
dont forgt you have v6 springs, gonna be very bouncy with a v8,
also you will need a new drive shaft and new axle(7.5 is not lsd) leaving 1 tire burnouts suck.
also new radiator, powersteering, exhaust ( hopefully true duals), speedometer and other gauges(wont work since comp is not being used),
its a good project, nice set up too , but i wouldnt do it, your taking a car worth 5000.00 and basically making it worth 1000 , becuse it will never pass inspection, or actually pass an emitions test

True, the only thing is that the car aint worth $5000. It's worth about $500. It has about 200,000 miles on it and there isn't a whole lot of people that would buy it for more than a couple hundred dollars.
in my opinion if your gonna make a project like that then go big,
find a 351 w motor, build it for supercharger or turbo, get a 5 speed, or even 6 speed tranny, and push about 600 hp tub the rear wheel well and put like 12 inch wheels with some super dr's
then call it a day

supercoupe swap FTW!! lot cheaper and will pass emissions

they're just hating cuz they own a v6 and your doing a swap.
i've seen the swap done plenty of times over at different forums, some people have done it for around 4k, some have done it for 10k(cobra engine swap) and some people have done it for 1500k (99+ engine)
the ones that did 99+ engines into v6's did it for ussualy 1500-3500bux FLAT basicaly all they do is find a completely totaled mustang... and they just use the totaled mustang as a donar car. that way they have everything they need with out having to buy extra parts.
i hope you decide to do the swap and post it back on this forum about how you did it to give more v6 people more faith on completing a swap.

Thanks for the faith. Like I said, this sort of thing isn't anything new to me, I've just never done it with a car so new before. I also have fairly unlimited resources and a decent amount of cash to spend. After all, I'm a single 20 year old guy makin about 40 g's a year who grew up doin nothin but mechanics work and fabrication. It's gonna happen. Just don't know how and when.
