Hi there -- i have a 1998 convertible, 4.6L. for some odd reason, my air bag indicator light keeps flashing. no discernible pattern. i've had no major work done on the car for about 2 years when i had the alternator replaced. any ideas what it could be? and how much it'll set me back to get in fixed? is this something that definitely needs to be done by the dealership?

any good shop can handle it. They can pull codes from the computer and help direct them to the issue. It could be as simple as a fuse but a faulty clock spring is uauly number 1
