Default Regulator wiring order at the plug

I replaced my wiring harnesses and when I turn the key to turn the engine over I get a "Poong" sound from the regulator and the engine does not turn. The battery tests good. According to the wiring diagram I'm not certain but two wires seem to be in the wrong order on the plug going into the regulator. This is a '66 six cylinder. The wires from top to bottom on the plug are in the following order, the first wire hole is empty or unused, the second hole has two yellow wires, the third hole a green and red wire and the fourth or bottom hole has a white wire on the bottom of the plug. Are these wires in the correct order?

You can email me direct at philipwil@bellsouth.net

Thanks for the help.

Phil
