universal joints?????

Default universal joints?????

when i drive my car it does fine until about 60 65 and a little vibration comes in and you can here clunking noises aroung the back of the tranny and it also clunks a little when the car gets in a situation where you have to give it more gas like if i was going up my driveway in first the car is a 90 gt with a t5 any ideas will be great

well it sounds like to me youre universal joint could be bad, You can tell is lift backend of youre car on jack stands, wiggle youre drive shaft if its loose try tighting the rear end bolts that hold the universal joint in place if they are tight, Then youre universal joints are no good.

From what I can tell it sounds like a U-joint to me too. Its a cheap and easy fix, shouldnt be any trouble.

Could be a bent drive shaft. That can make a u-joint go bad. If if still does the vibration, Jack up the rear end and run the motor and turn the drive. Look under the car and you can see what it is doing. Be careful doing this!!! Don't go 60mph!!!
