Default Cheap 20hp Jump

My friend got a resistor that you connect to two wires somewhere under the hood that somehow changes the fuel to air mix ratio, has anybody heard about that for my 99 Mustang, 3.8 V6? And if so is there a page that just tells you what you need and then how to complete the el cheapo modification? And yes i have used the search feature nothing specific came up. If your wondering more about this go to www.ebay.com and search for Mustang Chip, it actually just turns out to be a little resistor but....apparently it does the job.

you won't see much of it here because it goes the wrong way about doing the job. In principle, yes they work but they do so by tricking the ecu into thinking its super cold outside and it adds fuel and timing. also not all vehicles are the same, the IAT on different vehicles will often use different values - and those eBay morons selling the resistors will likely sell you a $.05 radio shack resisitor that will work on a Honda but not your Mustang. Be careful if you choose to go that route - and just remember it goes about the wrong way of serving its purpose.

Sounds like a bad idea. If you want HP go to the V6 section and take a look around you will find plenty of post on how to get you some HP.
