How reliable are Mustangs anyways? I man it is American made..<IMG src=smileys/smiley2.gif border="0">. what year are you getting? what are you getting? how do you drive? how are you with cars and maintenance?</P>


I had one for 490,000 miles when I sold it, and another for almost 200,000 when I sold it -- and yes, I sold them nicely because I maintained them nicely...... ultimately it's up to you. The parts are cheap if you ever need any and maintenance is cheap to do. they are simple to work on (in comparison to many other cars especially japanese and european models).</P>

Well I am trying to get a 89 to 92 LX 5.0 with no mods, And I will pamper this car more than my woman! I am great at drive a stick and wont ever push the car too hard. <edited><editID>PeaceKeeper</editID><editDate>37819.6427314815</editDate></edited>

302's are stout little bi***es, and will handle quite a bit of abuse.So if maintained proplerly and not beat on it will be reliable.

v6 headgaskets blow around 80k i think.. atleast for my 99 thats what will probably happen.

I've wondered about that myself. I just bought a 2003 V6<IMG style="WIDTH: 17px; HEIGHT: 18px" height=24 src=smileys/smiley1.gif width=23 border="0">. I love the car and hope that it lasts for a long time.
