Default Tranny Noise in Reverse, 5 Speed

2000 Ford Mustang
3.8L v6
Stock gears/diff
t-5 manual tranny

I recently loaned my car to my mom for a week or two while hers was in the shop. When I got it back, my car is making a terrible "drone" noise in reverse. It only happens in reverse, so I'm not sure if its the tranny going out. In drive gears, the tranny works fine. It is still tight, doesnt miss gears or have any slippage at all. Just in reverse, it makes a TERRIBLE sound. It's almost like something is grinding? Im not sure, I was told tranny mounts. Any input?

Make sure you check your trans fluid if it is low make sure that you only use automatic transmission fluid in there or some serious damage will occur.

Reverse is a straight cut gear, it will always make noise, if you never noticed it before, check your hearing.

If it's gotten worse, slap your mom, she must have been doing burnouts in reverse backing out.
