Aluminum DS vs. Stock Steel DS, How does it really add up?
I been trying to find some numbers guys but I'm having no luck. Basically I want to find the weight of each DS. How much weight is the aluminum really saving over the steel? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Aluminum driveshafts do weigh less than steel but sometimes they are not strong enough for the application. Steel tends to twist when over powered where aluminum breaks. It is considered parasitic loss. Aluminum can transfere more power to the ground than steel by virtue of it reciprocating weight. Aluminum driveshafts can be but shouldn't be used with power adders expecially ones like nitrous or turbochargers that tend to hit full power really abruptly.

Dont do it just for performance reasons, I noticed no difference in anything when I put my alum driveshaft in, other than my drivetrain vibration from the gear swap going away.

positive displacement blowers have instant power as well as nitrous.once a turbo spools up then it hits full power, it is similar to a centrifugal blower but faster.

*L*....anytime you can lighten up rotating mass and unsprung wiegt is a great thing and don't fear it from breaking as 1000hp cars use them with very few breakages.
