Default B&M shifter installation

I bought a B&M ratchet shifter for my car. It was a column shifter. I was reading the instructions how to install it, but it is for swaping out a console shifter. Now I need to cut a hole in the floor board and where that should be I have no idea. Pretty much I have no idea what to do and how to install it. Can anyone help me out?

Thanks, I know someone will. My transmission goes in this week to get rebuilt. It is not like I am trying to do this right now. I just want it done right.

I would have thought that it would be the same to hook up. It is an 85 with an AOD trany. On the left side in the middle of the trany there is a rod that moves threw the gears. Or it seems like it moves threw the gears. I want to this is where I should hook the shifter at. Then the kick down should bolt on to the bottom of the bracket on the trany. Is this correct? I was kinda drunk when I pulled the motor and don't remember where I pulled it off. Which is bad on my part. If there is any other info that you need please let me know.

Sounds good.

The body should have a stamped section for a floor shifter. Remove that area. It'll be obvious with the carpet out of the way.
