Default IAT, question, new cold air intake

I recently installed a new no name cold air intake on my 1999 Mustang GT. The rubber gromet that holds the IAT (Intake Air Temp sensor) ripped and doesnt seal properly but does stay inside the intake tube. IT's running fine but do you think the temp may not read correctly due to this? And where the heck am I going to find this proprietarey gromet?

I would just go to the auto parts store and get a tube of oxygen sensor friendly silicone sealer and put some of this around the sensor and grommet and let it go at that.

Or just buy the best CAI on the market and get better performance and no rubber!
