Default GAS

Any of yall have this problem where it seems like exhaust fumes are comin through your A/C system? My dad is sarcastically worried that I'll die of carbon monoxide poisoning and I was wondering if its normal to smell this, or if it really is a smoker's cough I now have.[sm=smiley11.gif]

Ive never had that problem. Are you moving down the road when you smell it? If not it could be your exhaust creeping under the car to your engine and it getting pulled into the vent system. Im stupid though...

No thats not normal to have that happen, I would thin you have a leak some where around the cat or header area.

Good Luck.

I would check the entire exhaust system for leaks starting with the header gaskets and make sure there are no leaks anywhere. With the car idling, have someone hold a rag over the tailpipe ends and listen closely for the hissing sound of leaks and then fix em!

when u start your car and its idling, turn everything off, your music and everythign taht makes noise except the engine, if u hear a little hissing sound it could be a vacuum leak or an exaust leak sumwhere, but i only know this because my moms cougar does it, plus many other problems but thats another story

look at the exhaust for any carbon this will lead you to a leak.....is this car running rich or do you have a fuel leak as 1 drop will make the smell
