does anyone know if the back 2 cats alone would work on my car? its a 00 V6. has anyone taken the front 2 off and just kept the back? would the check engine light come on? would i pass emissions? im gettin some lt's and i was just gonna use the front 2 or buy a pair and just have a mid pipe fabed up.

I dont think you would have a problem with running 2 cats. There are lots of people that have aftermarket catted mid pipes with only 2 cats. I havent heard anyone with them having trouble passing emissions or check engine light coming on.

yea, i dont think it will be a problem w/ 2. its just that the stock setup has 4 and im not sure if the 2 that come w/ the car are enough.the companys that make the aftermarket setups are making them specificly for 1 cat per side. these are made to have 2 per side. we dont have emissions in kansas but i want to keep the car legal incase i ever move or want to sell it.
