Default RE: lazy rpm drop,

I would double check the throttle body and make sure nothing is binding it up. Open the throttle while the car is off and make sure it closes completely as soon as you release it.

When you start up cold the engine will rev higher until the car is warmed up. Still 1800 rpm's does sound a little high. Mine sits about 1100 until the temp gauge starts to move then it settles in at around 800. Mine also sits at higher rpm's a few seconds when letting off the gas, i think thats just the way the fuel injection works. I cant think of one i've seen that doesnt hold the rpm's up for a second or two when letting off the gas.

I'm assuming its still under warranty? I would just take it to the shop and let them look at it. I dont think any of your mods would void the factory warranty.

As long as it isnt running bad, I dont see where it would cause any damage to the car. I would still see about getting it checked out though
