anyone know how to bypass or remove the securilock system? i had a problem with my ignition cylinder bought a new one and the theft system keep engaging. i have a aftermarket security system so im not too concerned with disabling it. my aftermarket has a built in kill switch. but i just need to bypass or disable the securilock. any help or tips would be apprieciated. thanx

Don't quote me on this but I thought I read that for remote start systems an easy way to bypass securilock was to tape a spare securilock key under dash. Hope it helps

 

That site is dedicated to add-on electronics, ie: stereo, remote starts, search their forums, its in there, seen it a few times.

 

that only works if his system is working perfectly, since his has a problem alls he can do is get it turned off from ford, or if it is a new vehivle use a sct tuner to get a special program to turn it off.

yeah its a 96 GT so i would prob. have to go to dealer huh? so ford can disable the system?
