Default weird air conditioning problem help!!!

hi i have a 95 5liter mustang and i when i go to turn on the air conditioning nothing comes out of the vents. the air only comes out of the defroster vents no matter what setting i have the air on. if i set the air on cold air it comes out cols from the defroster. and when i adjust the level it comes out in different amounts from the defroster vents. it just doesnt come out of the main vents. please help me out on this, i dont know what i need to do to fix this but i need to fix it soon. umm so basically ive tried closing all the vents and then opening them one at a time but no air comes out of those vents no matter what i do. so i need help figuring this out. if yoou've had a similar problem and know how to fix it, or if you have some suggestion as to how to fix i would really appreciate it. thanks guys.

first check to see if the hose going to the vent hasn't come off ...next see if the vacuum hoses are on there as it pulls the"gate" to direct where air flow goes

Maybe something is clogging your main vents. I also have a 95 gt. I just keep having my air compressor go. But as long as your defroster works the ac don't really matter but it will suck in the winter.

The same thing happened with mine. It was a disconnected vacuum line, under the hood, at the firewall. Mine was on a 93 5.0 so I don't know if the location would be the same.

Several of the older fords I have worked on have had this prblem and it was because of a flap in the heater/ac bow that the plastic hinge had broken. Had to coble a hinge to work.
