Default lowering springs

i've tried a search, but everything seems to be about drag racing springs, so i'll just try to ask outright. i want to lower my '97 gt conv. i will not be racing the car, i'm lowering mostly for looks and a little better road handling. i don't want to totally slam the car, just get rid of the 4x4 look. i don't really want a harsh ride either, what springs would best suit my purposes? tia

I just bought and installed on my 03 gt eibachs' pro kit 1.5" drop springs. If you would like to lower for more show than go i would go with their sportline kit it is supposed to be a two inch drop. What do you plan on doing for struts? I bought the KYB agx adjustable struts. Also when lowering a stang keep in mind in order to get your alignment back you will need to purchase set of caster camber plates.

There are two types of springs. Specific and progressive. If you want a comfortable ride then go with the progressive springs. I have the H&R 1.5 and you really cant even tell a difference in the ride besides the rear tires going over a speed bump.

i had eibach's with kyb's on my '96 probe and found the ride to be a bit stiff. i didn't need the camber plates with them though cause they only lowered the car 1.5", if i only go 1.5" with the mustang i won't need the plates will i?

jdaniel- where'd you get the h& r's from? i can't find them listed anywhere for the mustang. i've used h&r's numerous times when i was into scirocco's and absolutly loved them.
