Hello, I am new to the form & I hope someone can help me out.
As of 10/1/04 both of my power windows are shot. I need to find 2 new/used motors but don't want to spend a weeks pay getting them, also having trouble even finding them other then from ford. See I am in Florida & have gone through 3 of the 4 hurricanes & don't have much left but I still have my car & would love to fix it. I have a 1995 mustang GT 5.0. Where do I start looking before I pull my hair out!

Did they both go out at the same time? If so you want to be looking for the fuse or relay - if it is in fact the motors that are out then the easiest thing to do is call Autozone or Advance and get one from them. You could save a few bucks calling a junkyard - but its likely that the parts stores will stock your window motors. Have fun, their a pain.

The drivers window went out last night [:@] but the other one went out about 6 months ago along with my power locks. I've tried autozone but they wanted almost $169.00 for one motor.. But I guess that is better then the $396.00 Ford wanted for one. Maybe I'll try mustang grave yards?!

You're in Florida so these guys aren't far away, try www.stangparts.com this is a big Mustang only salvage yard in Winder, Ga. I'm sure they would have working power window motors for less than $169! What have you go to loose?

 

The $169 one is probably a refurbished piece of crap. They just replace what broke, clean up everything else and sell it again. Total junk, scour the junkyards....

Now all's I have to do is put them in LOL.[sm=thanx.gif]
