Default Still having overheating problem

So, like I took out the stat, change out the rad, change out the waterpump, test the cooling system like 5 times (for headgasket problem, but none found), and purge the system like 10 damn times, and yet my car runs cool for a bit, then the needle goes to the hot zone. Now, where on the temp gauage should the fan come on? My fan doesn't cut on until the needle gets to the red zone. So, could that the problem?

Did you replace the thermostat????

Check your water temp sender for the fan itself, that could be why it's cutting on so late as well.

Sounds like a bad/backwards stat.

Well, the temp sender goes to the computer and the Temp guage goes to the fan. so, should i test both of them? Also, my plug that goes in the temp sender is loose. Should it apply on there tighter? i think it would...cause it could move around when u drive the car.

The electrical connection should be tight, or you will get errant readings.
