Within the past 3 months.

I don't know anybody who's used a SCAT crankshaft, but I do know 2 people who've had the crank snout SNAP at idle, bending valves and pushrods using a Eagle 4340. From my understanding, they are using a foreign forging that just isn't getting it done.

Mention SCAT to them, I know for a fact the SCAT lawsuit is already well known. The last I knew, the Eagle customers to have this problem are currently being round up, most forums I scour have far more mentionings of Eagle than SCAT. The majority of people are using blowers and are experiencing failures in the crank snout.

I just thought I'd pass this on to you.

Yeah, just emailed the guy about it.
Took it directly from the words of your mouth(copied straight from post, both posts by you)
and going to see what they say about this
If they dont get back to me in a day or so I'll just call him.
Most likely calling tomorrow anyways

Thanks man, always good to hear about faulty products before I buy them...
Like CENTERFORCE DUAL FRICTION CLUTCHES
but I had already bought it before I heard all the bad stuff about them...

LOL nice avatar GTBABE!

And yeah...ironic that SCAT cranks are crap...

Obsolete, take it for what it's worth. I'm gonna guess they will say they don't know anything about it or haven't had problems. I'm not saying they are shady or anything, but there is always misinformed people. I'm currently looking for the lawsuit thread against SCAT...

Just for an update:
Today I just put the 2500 down for the new engine

The Set in stone spec sheet is to come within a few days.
I shall keep ya posted

Well, it's not REALLY set in stone just yet, but it's what the finished project will most likely be.
I can change the parts still until he orders them.
THEN it's set in stone.
