need some help....
ok so here it goes... about 7 years ago i bought my first car, a 1968 cougar xr-7. the guy i bought it from owns a local junk yard, so he threw in a heap of spare parts, enough for 2 complete cars. as i was going through the parts car i found an intake buried in the back of the trunk. i was quite surprised to find that it had "cobra" on it. as i looked at it i realized that everywhere id numbers should be there were aged grind marks. someone had made a bad attempt at smoothing it out. i figured i might as well clean it up, so off to the local powdercoater it went. when i got it back home i bagged it up and threw it in the closet, where it has been ever since. i completely forgot about it until about a week ago, when i decided to sell off some old parts and collectibles. now comes the problem, i have no idea what it came off of, what it's worth, nothing. i've spent many hours on the internet and i can't find a thing. here's a few pics of it. ANY help would be greatly appreciated. thanks in advance.

I have seen a similar one from a Shelby (According to the owner) but I didnt buy it because he wanted $1200 for it. The angle of the intake is what tipped me off. Good find imo, dont let it go for nothing.

Ground off serial #'s eh? Be careful of advertising it too publicly,.. sounds to me like maybe a chop-shop had once stolen a Cobra & parted out the car including the engine pieces.. why else would someone grind off the #'s??
