Is it possible to loose performance by having a CAI?

Yes. I have a feeling that you and I are in the same boat. I have an 03GT with a BBK CAI, BBK 70mm throttle body, Trick Flow Plenum, MRT H Pipe, and Flowmaster mufflers. For some reason the car seemed faster in its stock form...and i don't think its because of me getting used to the power. I'm planning on getting it tuned sometime soon, so if you're in the same situation as me then ill let you know.

I was thinking in replacing the maf sensor. Maybe the stock sensor is not keeping up with the increase in air flow.

Could be the case. Did you remove the little metal mesh screen in your MAF when you installed the CAI? I left mine there and im thinkin i should have taken it out, but the installation instructions didn't say anything about it. Do you have the same performance problems as me?

How does your Predator works. Is it worth the money?

Take the screen out, the CAI is worth 10 HP and the predator helps alot if you custom tune it, put the timing advance up all the way, (its only then 12 over) you can go to 14 or 15, it helps alot!

a few things, MORONS the screen is there for a ****ing reason, leave it there, you lose hp by taking it out, how in the world do you think a maf reads air flow???? RESTRICTION!!!!!! the more air going through the higher the restriction, and it increases fuel. and don't **** with your timing, you have no idea how stupid that is, the computer will adjust timing for optimum efficiency(hp) up to 100 times a second, fuel always burns at the same rate, timing needs to be advanced by the computer or your just screwing your whole car up
