Calling all 2004 owners
Hey guys,
I have an opportunity to get a new 2004 white convertible with 550 miles on it at the dealership.
Looks like they are selling for about 19k. Never been titled.
Wanted to know what you guys thought of the 2004 and its reliablility. Recalls, problems etc?
Also does anyone know where I can print a brochure?
Also what should I have the dealer do to prep after having it sit on the lot for 2.5 years?
Transmission fluid, Oil, Radiator flush, brake fluid????
Also have them change the tires???
Also does anyone know what the stripe options were for 2004, colors?
What do you guys think would be a good price?
I also want to see if it is under warranty.
What else can you guys think of????

RE: Calling all 2004 owners
Well, I bought a 2002 GT for 15 500$ and it had 39,000 miles on it just a week ago. Ithad been sitting in a garage since last july.
For a V6, i find the price of 29K very high, even if it has never been titled.
As for a car that hasn't been used in a while, make sure all of the fluids (as you mentionned) have been changed.
Personally, I really find the price high. You can have an almost new (like2000 or 3000 miles)2006 V6 for 29K easily...

Thats still really high. I bout my 02 GT for 12300 with 40,000 miles on it.
Granted, this wasn't dealer but i still was looking at another 02 GT premium...with about the same miles for 14,500.

19k for a new convertible is a good price. Remember, the warranty starts based on the date/mileage on the first sales contract, not the manufacture date. Make sure the dealer checks all the fluids, just due to age.
The newer models are nicer, but you aren't going to touch a new convertible for that price.
