you need to learn to do a REAL breakstand, not pop the clutch and then quickly put ur left foot on the brakes, use your right foot toes on the brakes, and right foot heal on the gas, just let off the clutch with your left foot and = burnout, then when ur at 4-5 k rpm, shift to second and u still have ur left foot to use the clutch with.. = 2nd gear burnout, and i can tell you they rule! it just takes some practise, but now since ive learned i can do it in just about anything.

sounds easy enough. when you shift to 2nd do you still have your right foot covering both the brake and gas petals?

i'll try it sometime or maybe i jsut need to find a 3rd leg to help me with the burnout

i just rev mine up drop the cluch and it wont move for the first few seconds, i can put my foot on the break when it starts moving then take my foot off the break and i will slowly roll out of the smoke while still spinning the tires

i know how to do heal toe shifting (my bigest thing used to be windy mountain roads and autocrosing) but iv never used it for a burnout) i might give that a try some time

you wont be dispointed i guarantee it. if you can heal toe shift then you will be able to do this im sure, but for you 91 stang it may be tricky, i found my foot slipping a lot but it will come with practice dont give up!!you can also reverse it, heal on brakes and toe on gas, its different in every vehicle.

and yes, when u shift to second keep the brakes and gas both on, you have to power shift it.
if you have stock gears that is anyway, if you had 4:10s it is likely much easier to do a 2nd or 3rd gear burnout.

i've looked at the petals and it seems liek there isn't enoguh room for my heel and toes on the pedals... i guess i have big feet

you have to power shift it.

and just for clarification becuase i've heard many different things on what it is. what exactly is a power shift?

it means you shift while still on the throttle. usually if you went to shift you would let of the gas, push the clutch, shift the gears, let out the clutch and hit the gas again.
when you are pwershifting you push the clutch (rpms will go up fast so be quick) shift the gears and let the clutch out again. just don't miss a gear while doing this .

well, nothing i suppose haha, well you dont have to dump the clutch high enough to make it stand still for a moment so you can put your foot on the brakes, and it gives you access to your left foot to clutch and shift through your burnouts.
