Default something the matter

whats up, i have an 87 mustang. just bought it recently all it needed was the oil pan to be changed so i got that done. i didnt feel like doing it myself because its the dead of winter and i would of had to jack the engine up and stuff to get it out, which i was not doing. Although, i think i should have, because i took it to a guy my uncle new. anyway longs story short after all is said and done i get the car back but now its smoking. the car is not overheating so im guessing that its leaking oil somewhere from a gasket and burning it. it onyl smokes after the engine is warmed up. the manifold gasket seems to be leaking and the valved cover gasket. im doing al this myself so any help is appreciated while im fixing this up. if you have any suggestions as to what it actually might be if this isnt it thne please do so by helping. thanks.

Before you go to far you should do a compression
test. It maybe it lost oil and ran dry. Could be your
rings are shot.

If your gaskets are shot you should get them replaced, because with bad head gaskets I can almost garuntee your leaking oil, not hard or expensive just to change gaskets, get them replaced& see where it goes from there

thanks, i actually took a look at it today and i seems to me that the valve cover gasket and intake gasket are shot. would the valve cover gasket actually make it smoke from iside the engine. im still going to run a compression test but im curious, would that valve cover gasket actually make it smoke from the inside.
