Default RE: 93 convertible subframe question

Sub frame connectors are not usually plates. Sounds like you may have had your floor pans replaced at some time. What does it look like under the carpet? Where did the car come from, how long have you owned it? Ususally, when floor pans are replaced, the bad portions are cut out and welded from inside the car, so I am not sure what you have there without pictures. Sub frame connectors will be channels that are preferably welded(some are bolted), and run the length of the car from the front to back. They do not allow the unibody to flex or roll, making it stiffer and gives a more solid feel to the suspension. Are you able to post up some pics of what you are talking about? Also, I would like to welcome you to the board, and please feel free to check out the Convertible Sub fourm under the General Tab.
