Springs 2
after reading a couple of threads im getting the impression lowering my car with my springs is a bad idea. does it really affect my launch and or acceleration. if it does i'd rather return back to my friend and buy something else.

RE: Springs 2
you can get whatever springs you want, a coilover setup simply has your springs mounted over your struts instead of the way it is now. I'll tell you what, if you want to keep a good ride, have good weight transfer, and want the lowered look... consider stock 4cyl fox body springs on the front and stock fox body v8 springs on the rear. Cut em down to the desired ride height.

RE: Springs 2
coil overs come with their own springs, they type of spring depends on what you want. With coil overs you:
1. throw away those big az stock springs
2. put the sleeve over your strut
3. put the c/o spring over the strut
4. throw on some c/c plates
5. install strut/sleeve/spring assembly
6. adjust your ride height

RE: Springs 2
yeah definately not the cheapest way to do it, but they are nice.
Back in the day (lol) we cut the stock springs 1.5 COILS in the front and 2.5 COILS in the back. Be sure to cut the right end and the cost is FREE
4cyl spring up front isnt a bad choice lots of people run those as well
