Default Lightning 90mm MAF

Anyone have a Ford Lightning 90 mm MAF? I was told it was the best upgrade as far as the MAF on a N/A GT (if i did replace the stock) less problems...simple plug in. Thoughts??

Yes I have one. I don't see why you'd want one though since their calibrated for 36# or 42# injectors from the factory depending on which year you got. You'd either need a helluva tune to make it work or send it off to be re-calibrated - not a wise move to go this route unless your running a FI setup.

MD, would you recommend going with a C&L 85mm MAF then? (which is made for 2002-2004 mustang GT's)?? worth the $100 or so??

Some folks have complained of problems with C&L maf's, not any probs with ProM that I know of though. C&L makes a nice CAI / maf kit though I'd consider it.

If you get the lightning 90mm MAF and 42# injectors, can you pass on the tune?

Well a tune wouldn't be critical, but your gonna wanna do it to get as much drivability back as possible from the big injectors. But you won't have any major problems from a mis-matched setup/
