Default o2 sensors from 86' to 87'

Hey guys I just recently swapped an 87' mustang 4 cylinder to the v8. The wiring harness I have is from an 86' but my H- pipe is from an 87'. I would hardwire it but the colors don't match. from the h-pipe there's 2 whites and a black, and on the wiring harness there's a green white and a black... What goes where? anyone please?

Do you not still have the connectors on the harness? They only go one way. If I remember from my diagrams, the green and black are signal wires and the other is a ground. You will have to compare the diagrams from both years and match them up. The colors may not match up.

The connectors are still on both the harness and the 02's but the plugs don't match. I think my only option is hardwiring them. Anyone know what goes where?

I have no knowledge of the specifics of your situation, however the sensor on your H-pipe sounds like an old 3-wire heated sensor. The 2 white wires are for +12V and ground for the heater (obviously it doesn't matter which is which), the black wire is the sensor's + signal output; ground for the sensor output is through the pipe/manifold back to the block. These (3-wire sensors) weren't used for long because the signal gound being back through the pipe and manifold sucked. 4-wire sensors added a dedicated ground for the signal (usually a gray wire on newer sensors).I hope this is of some help...
