RE: shaking problem
wouldve never put control arms in the mix when the grinding is only during shifting, thanks for the opinion. I would really like some other opinions though if anyone else has them. Thanks
where exactly are the control arms for the rear i dont know much about that kind of stuff, and how do i tell if theyre bad?
Then you say this.
Why are you even asking if you dont want to hear the opinions of others, just to turn around and say you know nothing?

RE: shaking problem
sounds like to me that if you're that light on the gas, then the torque loading is not high enough to keep all the slack out of the gears in the tranny and the rear and they are wobbling and backlashing due to lack of a constant load. since it doesn't do it when you accelerate with some gas pedal, that's what it sounds like to me. just for grins I would however check the tightness of all the bolts on the rear U-joints and the rear suspension just to make sure something is not loose and take a look at the bushings in the control arms and sway bar too to see if they are badly worn too. bad bushings will let things go moving more than they were designed to do and even hit metal to metal making a racket too.
