OIL PRESSURE?
70 seems a bit high...maybee your guage is off a bit...too high and you can start to blow seals.

Tight clearance + heavier oil = high pressure.
You are a bit high for stock clearance and a stock pump. You may have a bypass valve that's sticking in the pump (all pumps have 'em, high pressure pumps have a heavier spring to keep the valve closed longer).
After your break in, switch to a 5w-30 or 5w-20 synthetic(I personally recommend Amsoil for their written warranty, but Royal Purple and Mobil 1 are also very good). The thinner oil will drop the pressure somewhat. You could start with the dino versions of these weights to see where you're at to save some $$$ and do it within the break in period.
I wouldn't worry about the pressure itself, the possibility of a defective bypass valve is more of a problem. I have my bypass set at 80psi with 20w-50 synthetic racing oil for my 302 (10psi per 1k rpm as designed...plus a little margin
).
