I have a 351w with a weiand intak and was wondering what the small rectangular centerport is and whether or not I should or should not block it. I got a intake gasket kit and it has a separate piece to put in the centerport to block that. What is that port for and should I block it or not? I do use the car to drive around town a little but not much.

You're talking about the port in the middle where it mounts against the heads? That's the exhaust gas crossover. Block it off.
