my stero went out when i was pulling the jack out of my car. it happened whe i removed the carpet that is over the jack. i dont know what to do i was wondering if anyone could help. the car had an amp and some subs before i got it now the wires are just hanging ut so i dont know if that had anything to do with it? someone please help.

Sounds like you had a live wire coming from the engine bay, you moved the carpet, and whamo, short! You blew fuse. Check it out under the hood and find the inline fuse.
