Got the code,
Its a coolant temp. sending unit malfunction...ha ha, I have an aftermarket temp gauge becasue the factory one didn't work. I completely spaced the fact the the temp of the coolant is taken into consideration by the computer for proper fuel managment...im correcting the problem right now. Also does anyone know where the coolant gauge switch is? The auto store dude told me they are usually on a head? The switch and the sending unit are two different things as far as i know. ...let me know

...I'm probly gunna run to the parts store tonight and get some 02 sensors and put them in tomorrow. Come to think of it, I've never changed them. I don't know what the recomended time interval on those things is? Also, it has a fresh fuel filter, replaced just last summer...
I have a 2002 F150 4x4 with a custom tune for the PCM. My tuner told me that the front O2 sensors were actually supposed to be changed every 50,000 miles. I know that sounds excessive, but when you think about how much is affected by the accuracy of their readings, it puts it all in perspective.

He also recommended that fuel filters be changed every 15,000 miles. For a $5.00 - $10.00 part and 15 minutes of your time once a year, I think that's good preventative maintenance to keep garbage out of the fuel system.

There has to be a way to find out what code the computer is throwing. I think Autozone will hook it up and read them for free. Worst case you could take it to a Ford dealer to have them read it.

When was the last time you changed out the fuel filter and/or O2 sensors?
First thing I would do is get fuel injector cleaner, and get some good gas. This can easily just be bad gas, and these days it is easy to get bad gas. This suggestion won't hurt anything andit won'tput youout much money.
