torque convertor

Default torque convertor

i have a stock torque convertor in a suped up 351w.. if i change it and put a better one in what will happen and wat better performance will i gain from it... idle is around 800 rpm and wen i put it in drive it goes down to about 650.. any less and it stals .. any good??? what should i put in it.. thanks guys

A little more stall will put less strain on your engine at idle. It will also allow your engine to reach higher RPM's before locking up, giving you a better launch.

Just make sure any stall speed you pick is lower than your typical cruise RPM. If it isn't, you can burn up your tranny with the excess slipping of the torque converter.
